Tera Barra is a nonprofit NGO that wants to showcase how beautiful and diverse the nature of Bonaire can be. We demonstrate this in our 5-hectare native garden that we have been developing since 2018. We also have a nursery where we grow local trees and plants for nature restoration and reforestation projects. In this way, we contribute to increasing biodiversity and a greener Bonaire.
Watering is mainly an independent task, but we have two greenhouses next to each other, so there’s opportunity for friendly chatter. During coffee breaks, we’ll all sit together, and there might be requests for help with certain small tasks in the greenhouse, which also leads to collaboration.
Tasks Watering local trees and plants in a greenhouse.
Skills The volunteer doesn’t need any special knowledge. Some love for plants and nature helps.
